Education and Experience

I am a clinical social worker trained in psychotherapy.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Shepherd University in 1983 and my Master in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore in 1988.  In 2017, I became credentialed as a social work supervisor through the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.  In addition to furthering my clinical experience through continuing education classes, I am an avid learner through Coursera.  I obsessively read, hike daily and love to spend time with my family and pup.

I have thirty years of experience in providing individual, family, and adolescent psychotherapy.  I have provided mental health services for a wide range of clients in clinics, hospitals, agencies, a detention center, and private practice. As a supervisor, I have provided consultation to a number of BSWs, LMSWs, and ALPCs.
